In 1963, Ogden Kraut was visited and commissioned by an angel to write the historical and doctrinal truths of the gospel.

His work spans 70 books, that were often reviewed and approved by (LDS Church President) Joseph Fielding Smith.

Aided by his photographic memory, Kraut was a meticulous researcher and academic like Hugh Nibley and Cleon Skousen (his colleagues and friends).

Referring to the books he wrote, and the difficult topics he tackled, Hugh Nibley said of Ogden –

“He fulfilled a mission the rest of us didn’t want to do…  He saved more people from anti-Mormonism than any other man I know.”

Even with his gifts, Ogden remained a humble man.

His son Kevin, shares his hardships and trials, financially, with the LDS church, and with his family…

“Dad was always humble.  He felt God never intended him to be a great man – whether it was watching partners in a venture get wealthy without him; or being passed over as a candidate for a general authority position, or facing a disciplinary council, he was called to write the doctrinal truths of the gospel. And fulfilling that call was all that mattered.”

Kevin remembers helping his dad work the printing press as a 6-year-old. He has continued his father’s legacy by printing all 70 of his books into one volume titled, An Ensign To The Nations.

You can get your copy of the new heirloom Bible Edition at www.OgdenKraut.com.

Inspired to share this work with everyone (in or out of the church) who may not be able to afford it – Kevin has graciously made all of Ogden Krauts books available for FREE online here.

Fun Facts About Kevin: He’s an Eagle Scout with 4 Palms who served an LDS mission to New Zealand.  He enjoys mine exploration, historical research and teaching others how to tap into their spiritual gifts. He also loves to camp and fish with his 5 children in the Utah Mountains.

He’s a great resource for authors who need to get their book designed, edited, organized and printed. Reach him at: oldpioneerpress@gmail.com
